Since at least the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, I have not actually practiced religion, and even before then, religion was not a core component of my identity. Modernization and modern conveniences have often overshadowed the beliefs of the past, creating a dystopian identity that I share with the vast majority in my society nowadays.
