Unfortunately, the most important thing that we seem to find essential to carry all the time is essentially just in the form of our phones. Modern society makes travel increasingly difficult, overwhelming, and burdening to all—even for the simplest tasks. Even when attempting to keep up with connections in person, modern society sets boundaries tailored at online safety that may not be identical nor as much a concern with interacting in person.

End Goals of the ‘novaTop Identity
The ultimate goal of this blog by the real novaTopFlex is to promote cultural change with the end ideal of a mass proliferation of F(L)OSS, since software absolutely must be free and open-source to be ethical, not necessarily in price, but in freedom. Additional shifts are also being promoted with each post and action taken by the novaTopFlex triple-identities, whether here on this blog or on any other platform with the novaTopFlex persona included.

Alternate Universe and Utopian Ideal
In an alternate universe I would be able to communicate with my friends more easily, possibly gaining higher powers not currently possible in humanity such as mind-reading. Unfortunately, I have realized that my potential for new friendships has been stunted and I am often far below the average in my peer group, as I have been constantly stuck under 350 connections in comparison to seemingly everyone else’s 400+. Had I lived in an alternate universe I would have an easy time connecting through mind-reading and telepathy across state lines and elsewhere, especially because I could be picking up signals from future people whom I have never met–or may never meet–in person.

If there is one habit that brings me the most joy, especially in the face of (and possibly in spite of) longings for insecurities or even scary tendencies about peer pressure, it is the desired QGIS project, where I have covered numerous regions, with the most recent extensions occurring into Arkansas, Louisiana, and even Texas. And plus, QGIS is also known as a qualifying application in the “Digital Public Good” system.

Curious Interests
Preamble
As my identity continues to evolve, so do my insecurities as to how I interact with people, as well as how I definitely do not interact with people. Over the past few years, I have gained a sense of belonging for regions that I have never lived in, and in some cases, never even visited, my entire life. But more importantly, I wish to express myself as a person who is capable of changing the cultural dynamics of the industry at large, particularly to challenge the current ideologies at play allowing unethical corporations to take over computing interests that rightfully belong to the FOSS developers and their teams.
Interests
I am currently curious primarily about technology, but also about geography and mathematics. Additional interest clusters that may influence various strands of my passions include economic issues, as well as passing insecurities about setbacks from a utopian future environment built on equality and sustainability away from forcibly adhering to stereotypical roles and expectations. Many of the latest additions to the interest pool are interrelated and somewhat intersectional; for instance, my preferred application for my geography project(s) is QGIS, known as a “Digital Public Good” officially. Additional intersectional traits may include my ability to ally for groups of lesser representation to gain equal footing in the preferred industry in question.

Kindness
As one of my many commitments to being obedient to the rules and obligations of my community, I have actually been successful at random acts of kindness in case I have somehow heard my name mentioned by random people even without intent or even direction at me specifically. Specifically, I have had a history of concern when I have mistakenly heard my name from random faces in my community. But more importantly was my response to preventing the spread of different discriminatory concerns, even though I had been taught conflicting values that had since resulted in trouble.

Throughout my earlier years on the road to my ever-developing identity, I have actually experienced very special cases and situations that have resulted in my eventual success in and mainstreaming as a person. Eventually, I have learned new ways to cherish my identity to even more people, and I have rarely encountered an experience where I would ever need to back away.
Descriptions
If I were invisible to society, I would describe myself as the faceless real person in the industry of technology, both under hardware and software forms. I would identify as an extreme advocate and ally for concepts of “Permacomputing” and “Solarpunk” ideals, promoting a utopian spark in our overall dystopian society. My signature advocacy is actually with regards to a mass proliferation of open-source software, but also of open-source hardware and the overall promotion of ethics over all other behaviors regardless of context. I am also known for my ever increasing abilities to make space for–and trust for–various connections in my social circles, even becoming increasingly desperate for the most logical progression of my closest connections across town lines, county lines, and even state lines (yes, including my signature ability to escape from concerning contexts, regardless of written intent).

Loss of Traditions
Unlike my parents, I am no longer associated with the religious community, though I continue considering myself a follower of my genetic religion and a member of groups associated with my religion. Although I am obligated to follow traditional values in the camp territory and in other traditionalist forces across my lifestyle, I have openly identified against numerous such forces and for more modernist lifestyles that open me up to new doors for collection and more importantly, connection. I have actually been identified as charismatic with my intent, and I am increasingly wishful for extensions of this charisma across not just my local area, but also my extended local area, resulting in tensions caused by a mixed bag of signals, including potential consequences, both on the positive and on the negative.

Unfortunately, today, as with many of my most recent days, has not been successfully present under a typical mold of my identity, especially over my insecurities over the various crises that we are currently forced to expose ourselves within, all caused by the various forces of capitalism.

A Difficult Life and Personality
I would describe myself to others in terms of various characteristics and traits that the community may or may not find stereotypical. I do not identify in any nontraditional mold but sometimes feel that I act as if I were nontraditional in whatever respect. While I am often identified as charismatic across the board, I also identify as mischievous with my intentions, especially when I feel the urges to overstep my very own self. I have accustomed myself increasingly toward mixed signals that I may be receiving in some cases and may have received in others. While I may seem frightening for my preferences, including for my closest friend group, as well as for my entire ideological stack, I must describe myself as more typical of what is expected within Vermont or Massachusetts, at least within the United States of America.
While I am already open through my charismatic traits and qualities, I often seem to identify as a six-in-one or even a seven-in-one depending on my situation. For the 2025-26 year, my ultimate year to express myself before any real-world demands, I can expect to be relied upon for my charismatic qualities that effectively double my group of close connections, if not more; for my increasingly deep commitment to the mathematics society; for my three competing identities on YouTube (nova, geo, futo); for my deep activity on the Fediverse and ActivityPub; and for my interests in advocacy across platforms. I also balance all my intentions with respecting the word “no,” since unlike the vast majority of the tech industry, I identify with the fullest force of ethics, particularly when I express myself online, regardless of whom I may be with.

Unfortunately, I do not have much to say about my nickname as a real person, just “Drew” Afro Andrew. However, “novaTopFlex” is an identity influenced by my unexpected sit and reach dynamic, thus the “TopFlex” component, as well as the flexibility of the setup. “nova” is the technological prefix, “geo” the geographical prefix, and “futo” influenced by a criticism of the technology industry but actually belonging into a different industry.

Impossibility of Health and Well-Being in Built Society
Preamble
Over the past few generations in particular, the vast majority of our global communities have been built in increasingly hostile manners, resulting in forced obligation and surveillance mechanisms across the various machines that power our modern society. Unfortunately, with the recent boom of artificial intelligence (AI) solutions and a moral panic around AI, I have increasingly identified such change as evidence of a crisis, and I have also been muted or even banned from certain communities over concerns of being a large language model (LLM). Sometimes, I even identify myself as a bot online, as I remain faceless on applications and social media/networking platforms across the board, and even some of my reactions and sensitivities match bot-like sensitivities. Notwithstanding the artificial intelligence (AI) epidemic, I am also afraid to speak up about being a victim of numerous additional crises, even when the overall cultural situation seems to be improving depending on the various perspectives on society. Such crises of concern to me are often the most particularly isolating crises regarding society and stereotypical expectations, since I have recently switched to free-and-open-source-software (FOSS, sometimes with “libre” as FLOSS). Over my journey as an everyday user of Linux-based systems, I have shifted my identity in directions away from the predominating lifestyle and often stereotypical norms and the prevailing expectations and toward the influences that actually matter the most in society, despite significant pushback.
Is Outreach Possible?
Unfortunately, modern society and the current systems intact tend to encourage partial definitions of “health” and “well-being” that fail to cover the true definitions of both terms in a literal sense. Because of our modern dystopian environment, in-person locations for such outreach are currently few and far in between, with virtually zero meaningful sense of hope for the future. However, though online cannot replace in-person outreach, there can be hope for the future, not against loneliness (unfortunately), but against feelings of selfishness and potentially unfair comparisons that may result from unfair advantages and disadvantages in circles in society. But even then, the risk of unfair comparisons is (mostly) only present when the services being utilized are proprietary and thus unethical.

Concerns about Modern Society
Preamble
Unfortunately, it is increasingly commonplace to identify divisions and divided opinions within a single given society. While we have overall become more open to societal standards over time, we still have some additional work to perform before we can consider our society “freed” from traditional values, which are largely rooted in assumptions about interactions of different types.
Concerns
I am concerned about all elements of capitalism and capitalist control, identifying corporate capture as a crisis specifically because of the pushback against dignity that should be obvious in 2025. Unfortunately, select groups retain opinions that I believe are rooted in stereotypes and control, especially since many modern contexts in society are increasingly neutral, whether in regards to dignity, respect, or output. However, I retain my obvious standout position of identifying as more consensual and contextual than stereotypical, as otherwise noted.

Travel Plans and Influences
Preamble
Unfortunately, I have recently been enraged at my lack of connections across town, county, and state lines. While I have always wished to make such connections across the nation, dependent on the values in question, I remain unable to create new connections across state lines. Over the past few years, my travel plans have been influenced by my beliefs on ethics and societal expectations, which I continue to support in a futuristic matter.
The Actual Plans
Ideally, my travel plans, as a U.S. citizen, would largely remain domestic, though I may also consider international travel depending on the circumstances, ideally focusing on Western and Northern Europe. Other nations in my ideal plan include Australia, Canada, and New Zealand. Within the United States, my travel plans would largely remain across the Northeastern states, including all six New England states (Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut), New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, for ideological reasons. Connections to the Great Lakes region and select locations in the Pacific Northwest, even emotionally, may influence my truthful ideals in my travel plan.

While I have never identified do ed the PuTTY website prior to this morning EDT, I have been able to learn about the true PuTTY website while also identifying that the putty.org domain is illegitimate and not associated with the real domain.

Fediverse Scam Warning
There have been numerous recent reports of an influx in scammers on Mastodon, often performing direct messages onto victims with illegitimate URLs. And URLs are not normally associated with the culture of Mastodon issues. While I have not been impacted by the recent Mastodon scams, I know of a few people whom either are or have known people in the industry and across the board whom have potentially been victimized by the scammers of Mastodon. Mastodon will never ask for verification of users in direct messages.

Friendships by Sector and Industry
Preamble
I have just noticed a pattern in my friendships and my general communication preferences. Since I have often received negative thoughts out of myself, I attempt to maximize my connections with individuals and groups that I consider particularly valuable in my environment. Even if many friendships are considered nontraditional, my temptations and my urges are not insignificant, as some of my friendships have uplifted me from my peak sense of negativity.
Different Influences
Multiple influences may exist in certain backdrops of friendship circles, including, but not limited to, overlapping interests in different sectors or even elements of the same sector or industry.

Photographic Mentality
For large swathes of my life so far, my identity has largely depended on photographic memories and souvenirs from various angles, from investment to experience to knowledge to the common good. In 2024, I had actually taken a seemingly basic class that had actually expanded my knowledge of photography dramatically, and I will utilize this knowledge to the greatest extent possible. I continue to identify myself with a photographic identity, and am likely to continue beyond 2026, depending on the circumstances and my situation. I am, of course, always open to my desires for new connections across short-, medium-, and long-term distances, especially to expand my knowledge base and hopefully learn additional information that may pertain to my industry and to additional industries that may relate to my own.
What about screenshots? These are not photographed in a “traditional” sense.
Of course not. Screenshots are also often incorporated into my identity and styles, mixing stereotypical and more traditional values that I share in a blender with futuristic values and my desire to promote free-and-open-source software to the masses.
Is it possible to have excessive memories?
Absolutely. While modern technologies enable the storage of extremely large quantities of personal and group memories, pushback, depending on the specific setting in question, is likely to result, for reasons that may or may not be obvious initially but may quickly become obvious based on the additional connotations and, of course, the context.

While working, I prefer to listen to “Best For You” by Victor Lundberg, both the standard and the instrumental version. I also enjoy other music by Aiyo, Siine, Martin Klem, Victor Lundberg, Rune Dale, Roots and Recognition, Hallman, Lupus Nocte, and Will Harrison, depending on the very specific context.

Escaping Prejudice
Over these past few years, I have unfortunately trapped myself in a cycle of prejudice against certain geographies that I did not want to be associated with at any given time. However, I have recently learned of coping strategies to relieve myself against my concerns of not belonging in certain regions, particularly because of my ideals and my obsession with photographic souvenirs of fond memories, including memories that I fear I cannot make any more of. I have become desperate for new resources, whether friendships or more moderate connections, as a way for me to spread my word across extensions of my community and over county lines and even over state lines. Unfortunately, I have been prejudiced against certain regions for a while, but these prejudices are no longer hindering my ability to think for myself and/or the future of my individual and community. While I continue to seek out new opportunities to meet new people from afar, especially because of my ideological differences demanding interstate friendships, I am currently ideologically stuck and unable to force myself to open up to new friendships because there is no help in my community.

Comfort Foods are a Trap
I do not actually fall for any amount of comfort foods, however much I may have fallen ten or more years ago. And at this point in my life, I do not feel even a false sense of being “hungry” when I am in fact not; even if I am feeling similarly, I may assume that I am thirsty instead. And even then, that is a trap that I cannot guarantee my way out of, especially because of the capitalism crisis.

Unfortunately, the crisis of capitalism is actively preventing me from possibly managing to maintain the healthily desired lifestyle. But the foods that I currently eat are the foods that I would like to make, even though the recipes are not commonly known in my country or region.
