Since novaTopFlex is located in the United States, the inevitable reality of the novaTop WordPress blog is a bias on the issues occurring within the United States of America. However, international interests shall also be identified as appropriate. Therefore, the following content will provide more context about which other nations and constituencies, including territories, shall be included within novaTop interests.
Global Interests
Outside the United States of America 🇺🇸, novaTopFlex has identified interests extending into Canada 🇨🇦, Australia 🇦🇺, New Zealand 🇳🇿, the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 (including the constituencies of England 🏴, Scotland 🏴, Wales 🏴, and Northern Ireland, plus the Crown Dependencies of Jersey 🇯🇪, Guernsey 🇬🇬 (including Sark 🇨🇶), and the Isle of Man 🇮🇲 and the British Overseas Territories), France 🇫🇷 (including the French Overseas Territories), and most of the remainder of the European Union 🇪🇺.
Particular overseas territories of interest for novaTopFlex include the United States territories of Puerto Rico 🇵🇷, the United States Virgin Islands 🇻🇮, Guam 🇬🇺, the Northern Mariana Islands 🇲🇵, and American Samoa 🇦🇸, as well as the British territories of the Cayman Islands 🇰🇾, the Turks and Caicos Islands 🇹🇨, the British Virgin Islands 🇻🇬, Anguilla 🇦🇮, Montserrat 🇲🇸, Bermuda 🇧🇲, Gibraltar 🇬🇮, Saint Helena 🇸🇭, Ascension, Tristan da Cunha, and Pitcairn 🇵🇳 and the French territories of French Guiana 🇬🇫, Guadeloupe 🇬🇵, Martinique 🇲🇶, New Caledonia 🇳🇨, French Polynesia 🇵🇫, Réunion 🇷🇪, Mayotte 🇾🇹, and Saint Pierre and Miquelon 🇵🇲. Eastern European countries with hostile political situations, namely Belarus 🇧🇾, Ukraine 🇺🇦, and Russia 🇷🇺, are nearly certainly out of question, though each of the three aforementioned nationalities may be visible in the major cities along the East Coast and especially around New York.
Apart from the aforementioned nations of the European continent, numerous locales outside the mainlands of each nationality may also provide unique insights as well as associated challenges. Such challenges may include, but are often not limited to, the identification of the territories as distinct from the mainland and the identification of the mainland as distinct from the territories. In the case of Denmark 🇩🇰, such territories include the Faroe Islands 🇫🇴 and Greenland 🇬🇱 and have formerly included the now-sovereign Iceland 🇮🇸. For Norway, the sole remaining territory of civilian interest is that of Svalbard and Jan Mayen. Finland can claim the Swedish-influenced Åland Islands 🇦🇽, and similar claims also occur within France and Italy, as well. Italy, of course, claims Sicily, but also the Mediterranean island of Sardinia. Malta is located relatively in the middle of Sicily and Tunisia, though the island nation is significantly overshadowed by the larger mainland communities in all directions, especially north into Europe and south into Africa. Also related to the Mediterranean is the island of Corsica, claimed by France and often associated with the mainland, as opposed to the French Overseas Territories and the associated territorial claims.
Unfortunately, much of the area colonized by Spain and Portugal is now identified as belonging to the Global South, even if the mother countries are today identified with the Global North. The Portuguese areas had historically been most notable with Macao 🇲🇴 in the Global North and Angola 🇦🇴, Mozambique 🇲🇿, São Tomé and Príncipe 🇸🇹, Cabo Verde 🇨🇻, Timor-Leste 🇹🇱, and Brazil 🇧🇷, while the Spanish had been most associated with Equatorial Guinea 🇬🇶, Mexico 🇲🇽, Guatemala 🇬🇹, Honduras 🇭🇳, El Salvador 🇸🇻, Nicaragua 🇳🇮, Costa Rica 🇨🇷, Panama 🇵🇦, Colombia 🇨🇴, Venezuela 🇻🇪, Ecuador 🇪🇨, Peru 🇵🇪, Bolivia 🇧🇴, Paraguay 🇵🇾, Chile 🇨🇱, Argentina 🇦🇷, Uruguay 🇺🇾, Cuba 🇨🇺, the Dominican Republic 🇩🇴, and the Philippines 🇵🇭.
