No matter what individuals and society at large may believe, there is actually an extremely valid fear of capitalism, particularly in terms of exploitation, but also in additional terms such as isolation, cruelty, and a race-to-the-bottom mentality. novaTopFlex believes that capitalism is a form of cruelty and that two particular crises are privatization and the race to the bottom, both of which are direct consequences of capitalism. For our society–or any society–to actually function within reason, our communities must collectively gather to topple capitalism in all and any forms where the system may continue to exist, since the capitalist system that currently dominates globally is effectively the antipode to human nature.
In a reasonably organized society, there is no isolation, nor capitalism, nor cruelty. Capitalism is the most extreme form of both isolation and cruelty, and human nature often tends toward collectivism and requires communal bonding in order to minimize the performative drama often identified as a direct result of the suburbanization crisis that promotes a nuclear-family system and forces an image upon everyone in society. While rural areas already often tend toward requiring more anticapitalist styles of thought, capitalism discourages rural living because rural living is conducive to community and societal cohesion. What capitalism encourages is individualistic adhesion, resulting in the indefinite loneliness epidemic that cannot reasonably end until capitalism is completely toppled. The idea of a “job” is actually a capitalist illusion, as well, since modern career opportunities under capitalism, unfortunately, all share characteristics harmful to the planet, even if indirectly.
