Technically, no, heteronormativity does not result in capitalism, nor does the situation occur vice versa. However, if capitalism is not caused by heteronormativity, then what causes it? There could be a few different answers, but perhaps the most commonly recognized one would just be that patriarchy forces traditional gender roles to be enforced rigidly, and since masculinity is associated with dominance and femininity with submission, the masculine energy causes the economic model of the modern day. Therefore, capitalism could be an artifact of an era when women were subordinate to men by law, prior to such feminist movements as the Seneca Falls movement in Seneca Falls, New York. While femininity was often associated with socialism, masculinity was what may have theoretically caused the modern-day burdens of capitalism.

Societal Expectations Forced
Because society under capitalism thrives under hierarchy, the community is individualized aggressively and every action is read into just a bit excessively. Since capitalism thrives on the idea that bonds that are unable to profit are consolation bonds, the societal market forces driving forced commitments and whatnots are highly inevitable without toppling the current capitalist system entirely. As was often demonstrated historically, there is not one “correct” answer on how to arrange the economy. Historically, solutions to capitalism have been co-opted by authoritarian and other regimes that society may consider “scary” or “frightening.” However, a modern solution to capitalism thrives under dignity to all people, regardless of identity, expression, and other factors regarding every dimension of diversity.
What novaTop Wants to Normalize
novaTopFlex believes that, while there is no correct solution to the economic forces that cause society to stereotype and create arbitrary restrictions, egalitarianism must be normalized for a more just society. Such society must not be formed unethically in any way, shape, or form; however, the justice should occur naturally as society is reformed to approach maximum equality. Rather than forced capitalism, society should at least provide safeguards for essential services, where entire industries should no longer be treated as products for sale.
