Introduction
Home to the City of Lafayette along the Wabash River, with the opposite City of West Lafayette serving as home to the main campus of Purdue University, Tippecanoe County represents a significant portion of the greater region of Central Indiana, at approximately the hour northwest of the capital city, Indianapolis.

Apart from Purdue University and the Boilermakers, the community of West Lafayette is also home to Samara, the John and Catherine Christian House. In the larger—and primary—City of Lafayette, a number of art galleries exit throughout the region, including, though not limited to, the Artists’ Own art gallery.
Also associated with the City of Lafayette are the Haan Sculpture Garden, the Haan Museum of American Art, and the Art Museum of Greater Lafayette. Notable historic districts associated with the region include the Highland Park and Ninth Street Hill Historic Districts.
