At the time of writing of this post, this is Christmas Day, December 25, 2025, exactly one (1) week prior to the New Year per the Gregorian calendar. Today is a Thursday and represents the final Thursday of the year of 2025, meaning that the following Thursday is representative of January 1 (please note that in the Julian Calendar, January 1 corresponds to Gregorian January 14 and is labeled the “Old New Year” instead). The Julian Calendar, by the way, is the old calendar system prior to the introduction of the Gregorian Calendar, first in 1582 but not yet in the United States until 1752.
