Introduction
The City of Connersville is located within Fayette County, Indiana, today serving as the county seat. A relatively smaller community, especially compared to Richmond to the north and Indianapolis to the west, Connersville remains a place of historical significance for the post-colonial first wave of Irish Americans pushing westward from portions of particularly the Northern Neck of the Commonwealth of Virginia and surrounding areas.
Attractions
On the south side of the city is the Whitewater Valley Railroad Shop and Yard. Further north, the City of Connersville is home to the John Conner Monument, the Whitewater Valley Railroad, and much of the area elsewhere within Historic Connersville.
