Geographic Accuracy
North of Hartford, United States Route 5 and the newer Interstate 91 alike do in fact parallel the Connecticut River. South of the city, however, the highways no longer parallel the river, and the river does not ultimately flow into New Haven but rather into the Old Saybrook area significantly further to the east.
