The Town of Dover-Foxcroft is located in Piscataquis County, Maine, and serves as the county seat. The Freedom House Bed and Breakfast is a signature place to stay within Dover-Foxcroft; however, the facility is extremely unlikely to be available around the time of the Maine Whoopie Pie Festival. Nevertheless, the community remains the chief settlement of the Piscataquis Valley and is home to the Piscataquis Valley Fairgrounds.
