Hype for the Future 57J: A Living Tribute to the von Trapp Family

Stowe, Vermont

Even to this day, the von Trapp family continues to operate the family resort business in the southwestern portion of the Lamoille County town of Stowe, Vermont. Following a successful escape from the Holocaust, the family would continue on to the United States, starting with Philadelphia, though eventually continuing on to the Town of Stowe. Perhaps also because of the work of the von Trapp family, the Ski Capital of the East has flagship resorts in ways that may not be possibly identified in the Beast of the East at Killington.

Background

Two of the most important malls in North America, the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota (south of Minneapolis—St. Paul) and the West Edmonton Mall in the Canadian Province of Alberta, are often identified as major mall areas owned and operated by the Ghermezian family of Persian descent.

The cultural ideals of novaTopFlex include a modest town with relatively small villages, ideally in the mountainous regions of New England, that allow experimentation with pre-nuclear and alternative family structures—as well as intentionally curated bonds. Whether related to the concept of “adoption” or otherwise, such bonds are often more easily described as “chosen families,” inspired by the LGBTQIA+ community and providing liberation from traditional family values and social roles.

Within the Town of Kilmarnock, in the Northern Neck region of the Commonwealth of Virginia, is an interesting lodging area with eight (8) available cottage rooms to potentially select between. Three (3) of the eight rooms are also pet-friendly rooms—the Tippecanoe, the Taylor, and the Tyler. Apart from the room differences, the Kilmarnock Inn also contains a courtyard area, encouraging a sense of community for such a small town. While community life is often the default in regions such as New England, traditional Southern culture would identify such communal lifestyles as discouraged in an effort to maintain the family standing, order, and reputation.

novaTopFlex believes that the ultimate experience in society is very deviant from the mainstream social norms, roles, and expectations. Nontraditional family values are often thought about by the novaTop identity, equating the concept of “chosen” or “found” family with mental health checkpoints that shall not be broken away from, even after long distances and outcomes of long dispersion. The novaTop identity, though a technical identity, is at an elevated mental health risk following outbursts of forced perfectionism.
