Introduction
Located in the east-central portion of the State of Ohio, Holmes County is at the center of Amish Country within the State. Though Geauga County is also largely identified as Amish, the community is, as with the Lancaster area in Pennsylvania, heavily determined by the presence of Amish throughout the area.

For the general population visiting Amish Country in east-central Ohio, Millersburg, the county seat of Holmes County, offers the seasonal Victorian House Museum and the Hotel Millersburg, while Killbuck and a number of otherwise smaller communities are also influential throughout the generally associated area.
