Preamble
novaTopFlex has quickly navigated multiple divergences in identity, starting with identifying the ethical value of Linux and other UNIX-like systems by way of being free and open source. Though the Identity had originally started with the technology industry, further crises have later been identified as related, including, but not limited to, the burdens of financing, car dependency, and even wage dependency in general. Unfortunately, the vast majority of the identity of not just the United States, but global capitalism in general, thrives on segregation that is only possible in proprietary systems and setups.
The Benefits of Open-Source
While the capitalist system thrives on commodifying everything—even the essentials for human survival—proprietary software exists as amongst the most recent ramifications of capitalism. Unfortunately, however, making the software proprietary has often proven to never be enough, particularly in the present decade at the time of writing, resulting in constant advertising and profit off of headaches and literal ransomware.
On a side note, capitalism is the root cause of essentially all ransomware attacks in the industry. Ransomware attacks often depend on the mainstream systems as, unfortunately, the vast majority of users are operating from proprietary systems. By removing the dominance of proprietary systems, society can move forward in an anticapitalist direction, and anticapitalism is the necessary tool for the common good. While the damage currently existing is highly irreparable, identifying systems with proprietary or otherwise “nonfree” software is at least a victory in terms of how to (eventually) eliminate proprietary software and operating systems. If society can successfully switch the majority of computing system users to free-and-open-source-software models, then anticapitalist beliefs can result naturally from the new arrangement.
By enabling the public to access the source code for the software, and perhaps even at the hardware level, anticapitalist beliefs can certainly become natural thought. The profit motive can more easily be abolished just by switching to open-source software, though there are other opportunities that matter.
