Overview
The Town of Monson is located in Piscataquis County, Maine, along Route 6 leading generally northwest toward Moosehead Lake and southeast toward Guilford.
Attractions
The Monson Historical Society is centrally located in the Town of Monson, and the Shaw’s Hiker Hostel is located further northwest. In either case, the communities are largely associated with the gateway to Lake Hebron and the Hundred Mile Wilderness. A few restaurants of different types and a coffee shop are accessible within the village area of Monson, and lodging and cabin rentals are also associated with the general area(s) on and around Lake Hebron.
