Introduction
Though not the county seat, the mid-sized City of Pullman is a notable community within the Palouse region and the largest community located within Whitman County, Washington, serving as the site of the main campus of Washington State University (WSU).
Notable Amenities
The flagship public university in the State of Washington is located within Pullman. However, further north along Route 195, the smaller community of Colfax has been historically known particularly for the Saint Ignatius Hospital. To the east, into the Moscow, Latah County, Idaho area, is the Appaloosa Museum and Heritage Center, though the exact site of the location may have recently changed. Also of note on the Idaho side are the McConnell Mansion and the University of Idaho.
