Overview
Within the inner village area of the Town of Newfane, Vermont, the Newfane Inn is a civic institution providing a place to stay and serve the general public in the area; however, a larger portion of the visitors would stay at the Four Columns Inn and 1832 Tavern further west within the central village. Though located at the edge of the sidewalk system, the traffic volumes do not justify car dependency within the extremely limited services offered at the central village of Newfane. Another lodging option, albeit car-dependent, is the Lodge at West River, in the northern outlying area of the Town of Newfane.
