Colleges and Universities
The college and university campuses associated with the Ohio Expo Center and State Fairgrounds every year typically correlate with the particular colleges and universities located within the State. Public institutions and associated mascots are often identified as represented within the broad scope of the Ohio State Fair in particular. The mascots associated with the State Fair include the Falcons of Bowling Green, the Marauders of Central State, the Vikings of Cleveland State, the Golden Flashes of Kent State, the Miami RedHawks, the Ohio University Bobcats, the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Bears of Shawnee State, the Akron Zips and associated Wayne Campus Warriors, the Cincinnati Bearcats, the Toledo Rockets, the Wright State Raiders, and the Youngstown State Penguins. Additional educational institutions are often also associated with the State Fair, many more of which are under private control, including Ursuline College (of Gannon University starting by the end of 2026), the combined campuses of Bryant and Stratton College, Defiance College, the University of Findlay, Tiffin University, Capital University, and more.
