The Political Changes of novaTopFlex

My political views overall have changed over time, from enforced heteronormativity and the default gender dynamics and obedience to traditional gender roles to creativity and experimentation while ensuring a more genuine and authentic experience with my personality type and personality traits. Even though I have been scorned for having friends of the opposite sex in my formative years for obvious biological and historical reasons, I have often identified myself having easier communication with such friends and even felt safer in such contexts and situations. Apart from my views on heteronormativity and traditional gender roles, I am no longer the person who sees difference as an issue, and neurodivergence has played a large role in swaying my political views very dramatically from the very beginning.

Hype for the Future 26A: Social Skills and Socialism

The novaTop Identity originates from a social struggle and a struggle based on disability and on inclusion. Therefore, anticapitalist ideals eventually come naturally to mind and in light. With exceptionally anticapitalist ideals comes exceptional calls for radical change, and capitalism profits off of every failure. Rather than stigmatize disability through hyper-individualism, society must adapt with more collective ideologies, as collectivism is often the solution to many of society’s present problems. Rather than competing or forcing obedience, both of which depend on monocultures, society must promote freedom and liberation, particularly freedom and liberation from the tyranny of capitalism.

Hype for the Future 25G: Against Capitalism

Capitalism is the system that perpetuates concepts of “test scores,” deadlines, procrastination, exploitation, wages, and the slavery that is necessary for such a system to function. The idea that capitalism makes a nation—or any national system or entity—free is actually a coerced notion, as society has been forced to believe that capitalism was the successful way forward for at least the past several decades, back in a time when speaking of communism or even socialism was most certainly taboo. In reality, capitalism further enforces inequalities between different and especially marginalized groups, particularly on the bases of age, race, ethnicity, gender, sex, sexual orientation, disability, relationship status, and more. Even though overt formations of such discrimination may often be illegal, more subtle forms of discrimination continue to exist within the capitalist system.

Discrimination within Capitalism

Unfortunately, the wealth gaps that continue to exist by race and sex are intentionally perpetuated, and even though such gaps may have become increasingly outlawed, institutions continue to identify loopholes to promote racial and sexual supremacy over all other groups. The groups that society has labeled “minorities” are not truly marginalized outliers but have been pushed to the margins by societal forces. Even traditional gender roles are reinforced, with only the masculine-coded ideals even coming close to receiving profit, even though planetary values lean more feminine. Within such a patriarchal system and worldview, anything that deviates from the standards set by society is arbitrarily seen as “less worthy” or “less productive,” thus receiving less attention.

Hype for the Future 16A: The Countercultural Movements of America

The most notable and interesting countercultural movements in the United States of America are largely identified by LGBTQIA+ culture and heritage traits. While LGBTQIA+ have existed long before such identities have become normalized in society, the historical shunning and taboos continue to linger into the modern day in the vast majority of spaces within the nation. novaTopFlex aspires to network with countercultural hubs, including hubs of movements outside the LGBTQIA+ and intersecting communities. Such communities include the vacation destinations of Provincetown (Ptown), Massachusetts; Fire Island Pines, New York; and Saugatuck, Michigan. Additionally, pockets exist within New York City (NYC), including all boroughs (but especially Manhattan and Brooklyn), Boston (especially in select neighborhoods within the inner city and across the Charles River in Cambridge, Somerville, and Medford), and even the Five Colleges communities of Northampton and Amherst. Although Cambridge is primarily renowned for prestige at Harvard and MIT, even outside the institutions the city remains quite a significant activist community. The same is also true of Somerville and Medford, where Tufts University dominates the cultural scene.

Hype for the Future 15D: Anticapitalist and Degrowth Proofs

While capitalism may not be morally equivalent to human slavery and slave labor, numerous fundamental similarities exist. Even though society has supposedly advanced beyond legally enforced racism, sexism, and even ableism, capitalism continues to promote all three of the discriminatory practices. novaTopFlex believes that capitalism is fundamentally a crisis and essentially the equivalent of human slavery and slave labor, even without the moral connotations. Unfortunately, modern day, late-stage capitalism in particular often resembles issues of human trafficking, which is largely detested by modern society as an international issue.

The Five Colleges region of Western Massachusetts is highly notable for sharing novaTop views on anarchism, decoloniality, intersectional feminism, post-Marxism, degrowth, and ecologism. Each of the six listed concepts is highly celebrated within the region, particularly out of a deep understanding that capitalism creates dystopia and harms the entire population in devastating ways across the board without escape.
