Overview
The Town of Rangeley is located in northern Franklin County, Maine, and is the sole municipality to share an identical name with a community of a different status in the State known as Rangeley Plantation. In the Town of Rangeley, however, is the vast majority of the regional population, as well as the location of two major museums of local interest: The Outdoor Heritage Museum of Oquossoc and the Wilhelm Reich Museum of the central town area. Both of the aforementioned museums are accessible by way of Route 16 and adjoining roadways within the Town area.
