Connections
Today, the municipality of Gimli, Manitoba, maintains Icelandic connections by way of the Gimli Gilder Museum, the Gimli Art Club, and especially the New Iceland Heritage Museum. The New Iceland Heritage Museum also hosts the Gimli International Film Festival and the Icelandic Festival of Manitoba.
The Icelandic Festival of Manitoba is in direct partnership with the Rural Municipality of Gimli, the Province of Manitoba, the Government of Canada, and the Government of Iceland.
