novaTopFlex is desperate to cultivate new social connections for the common good as well as with the particular intent of promoting a more positive sense of self and community. The novaTop Identity is focused on free-and-open-source software (FOSS), while the geoTop Identity attempts to make geography less corporate and the futoTop Identity attempts to effectively make society at large less corporate.
The importance of meeting new people from various backgrounds across the nation using the last bastions of public festivals and events is actually the importance of new lifestyle choices and decisions. For each and every event that is running dry, the lost potential to meet new people and improve social skills and networking results in lost opportunities and potentially wasted skills. However, meeting thousands of new people at a national scale can assist with the insecurities associated with modern life with the institutions and events identified as more civic.
Open Minds, Open Knowledge
Each of the Three Identities, novaTop and futoTop in particular, are prized based on civic and public institutional preferences and the resistance to privatization, which is often identified along with heteronormativity and the societal drive to monoculturalism as a crisis of humanity as well as a crisis of capitalism, which itself is a crisis by nature.
While the Ohio Expo Center and State Fairgrounds is already renowned for hosting around one million people at the annual Ohio State Fair over the course of twelve (12) days every year, the State Fair does not actually represent the complete story of the City of Columbus or even the area around the Fairgrounds. Though numerous street addresses are identified with the Ohio Expo Center and State Fairgrounds, the most commonly represented (and technically accurate) of the addresses is 717 East 17th Avenue, Columbus, Ohio, 43211. As with most state fairs across the nation, the vast majority of the festival goers are from in-state, though every corner of the State of Ohio is typically represented at such fairs.
Networking
At the Ohio State Fair, since most of the educational institutions statewide are about to finish break, networking opportunities are very broad, though socialization may get particularly difficult because of the diverse age brackets and the inclusion of different stages of development. The novaTop community is currently attempting the age bracket between 18 and 29 years of age, though as novaTopFlex grows older, the age bracket shall be expanded as appropriate, and the new rule shall be 21 years and above.
Although not all educational institutions in terms of colleges and universities may be represented at the lesser events of the fairgrounds, the Ohio Expo Center and State Fair often attracts individuals and communities associated with every college and university located within the State of Ohio, including, but not limited to, the public institutions of Ohio University, Miami University, The Ohio State University, Cleveland State University, the University of Akron, the University of Toledo, the University of Cincinnati, Central State University, Wright State University, Shawnee State University, Kent State University, Youngstown State University, and Bowling Green State University. Numerous private institutions are also typically represented in various forms, including Marietta College, Wilmington College, Wilberforce University, Capital University, the University of Findlay, Ohio Wesleyan University, Case Western Reserve University, Ohio Northern University, Defiance College, Walsh University, the University of Dayton, the campuses of Bryant and Stratton College, Xavier University, Mount Saint Joseph University, Ashland University, Tiffin University, and Oberlin College.
Satellite campuses of numerous institutions, unsurprisingly, are also expected to be represented regularly from the perspective of the Ohio Expo Center and State Fairgrounds, particularly at the time of the State Fair over the summer when longer distances are often more feasible. While access from out of state is theoretically possible for the fairgrounds, the satellite campuses of numerous universities are often more typical to the demographic makeup of the State Fair. Such satellite campuses include the Ohio State University satellites in Lima, Mansfield, Marion, and Newark; the Firelands Campus of Bowling Green State University in Huron; the Kent State University satellites in Ashtabula, Burton, East Liverpool, Jackson Township, New Philadelphia, Salem, and Warren; the Miami University satellites in Hamilton, Middletown, and West Chester Township; the Ohio University satellites in Chillicothe, Saint Clairsville (Eastern), Lancaster, Ironton (Southern), and Zanesville; the branch campuses of the University of Akron in Lafayette Township (Medina County), Orrville (Wayne), and Lakewood; the University of Cincinnati branch campuses in Batavia (Clermont) and Blue Ash; and the Lake Campus of Wright State University located in Celina.
Starting in 2026, novaTopFlex shall notably refuse connections originating at educational institutions and everyday situations. Rather than prioritizing the everyday people, novaTopFlex shall begin prioritizing the least frequent people, especially the people from events in the month of July. By limiting the social network to exclusively the summer months and summer events, novaTopFlex can select the ideal people for the novaTop Community while also ensuring the continued flow of new video content on YouTube and numerous other platforms.
Preferences
novaTopFlex shall restrict socialization to exclusively the connections associated with scheduled festivals and events as well as regular activities that extend the business schedule and cycles. The most important social activities of art and music shall be top priorities in terms of a broad social network, and the social network shall remain extremely permeable, to the greatest extent that is reasonably possible. By limiting the social network to festivals and events and avoiding people associated with educational and professional institutions because of the formality of the structure, the following may be bound to occur:
By avoiding friendships developing in everyday structure, and limiting social connections to less frequent people, novaTopFlex can learn that distance often strengthens bonds and bonding.
Prioritizing people from festivals and events throughout the year, regardless of the type of festival or event, can result in additional queer opportunities and escapes from heteronormativity and enforcement of the nuclear family.
novaTopFlex does not expect all close to moderate-range contacts to be known all by one another as a single unit. However, group chats shall be organized by mechanisms such as shared festival access and shared social events. Otherwise, the social philosophy of novaTopFlex shall be extended into additional locales of interest, yet the new social arrangement will be organized based on geographic locations first.
Meeting People at Festival and Events
novaTopFlex may not be perfect, but the rules of meeting people and organizing such people are as follows:
Location first: The locations of the festivals and the events should take priority. Anyone featured in the photos will always come first, and anyone not featured in the first photos will be identified as more distant by default. However, this philosophy may not be accurate one hundred percent of the time.
Interests second: Not everyone knows each other within a common interest, background, or subculture. Assumptions about the LGBTQIA+ community in particular are often unsettling and create massive discomfort for the queer and other related communities, especially following the unfortunate political situation in recent years.
Networks third: Knowing who new people will meet is often unpredictable. However, the third space in which networks are often the dominant network are to be prioritized last.
The Identity of novaTopFlex depends on a baseline level of visibility in an effort to improve the odds of monetization while also improving the odds of support for the public and the common good. Overall, however, the priorities of the recent past, especially within 2025, have not suited the best interests of the novaTop Identity. Therefore, the new priorities of novaTopFlex shall not be based on restricted access to social events but rather the development of an entirely newfound social life using chosen public spaces and events.
New Year Priorities
For the new year of 2026, novaTopFlex shall redistribute social preferences and replace academic friendships with more professional bonding with more informal bonds being cultivated at more informal events. Every new bond shall be cultivated as appropriately as possible, and not all introductions can be safe at all times. Therefore, structured events shall be preferred over all other types of events, and the easiest ways to gain a social network include modern structured events more often than less structured gatherings, even at shows and festivals. However, the chances of meeting new people at any event are significantly greater than zero and shall be cultivated upon the increase in autonomy that the year 2026 provides in significant terms.
The novaTop Travel Itinerary
Though covering all the possible interests of novaTopFlex may not necessarily be feasible, as many of the dates overlap and many of the distances are quite large, the novaTop Travel Itinerary shall be used as a baseline for identifying which events are appropriate for the Three Identities. Even though not all the marked locations are actually open/accessible to the general public, as many are higher educational institutions, the marked locations provide a blueprint for what to expect in the surrounding locations of the area.
Perhaps the most notable of the novaTop Travel Itinerary, even just within the State of Ohio, is the Cincinnati-area music venues of Lori’s Roadhouse, Bogart’s, the Andrew J. Brady Music Center, and the Riverbend Music Center, depending on the time of year and other factors; as well as the Columbus-area KEMBA Live! and the Indianapolis-area Ruoff Music Center.
Dates on the calendar shall also be memorized in order to check for availability, but also to identify the necessary duties related to the novaTop Travel Itinerary and associated events. Every day marked on the calendar without an obvious sense of availability shall be marked as such, while every day with availability shall be identified as a novaTop Free Day for YouTube channel growth and assistance. Therefore, novaTopFlex shall be identified as the person who will always be busy, even if not actively busy such as overnight.
novaTopFlex shall begin 2026 with preparations for the planned activities and events from 2025 for the summer of 2026, and every action should work toward an ultimate goal of activities across the board. By enforcing novaTop etiquette across numerous communities–and perhaps even types of communities–the novaTop Identity can successfully achieve a more desirable future, although significant pushback can also be anticipated.
Principles of novaTopFlex
The Principles of novaTopFlex shall include the possible approaches to provide for and promote anticapitalist preferences and ideologies. The novaTop, geoTop, and futoTop communities shall provide content and context in opposition to capitalism and corporate powers, while remaining supportive of the public-private dichotomy whenever privacy is expected and preferred for safety reasons rather than for control. While society often expects privacy to correlate with “safety,” the idea that privacy is preferred over publicity is actually a form of “control,” so novaTopFlex ideologies shall be mapped logically and even physically. Unfortunately, novaTopFlex is unable to create a physical map out of logical maps and mapping, and physical maps require the individual and the community to know the official private addresses of the people in question. Therefore, the map shall remain logical and shall prefer precise, rather than approximate, locations.
In an effort to promote the novaTop, geoTop, and futoTop causes, novaTopFlex shall establish a distinction between “personal” information and “private” information, wherein the most sensitive types of information, including all obviously personally identifiable information (PII), shall be classified as “private” while personal accounts shall refer to public accounts which follow internet etiquette boundaries while utilizing first- and second-person pronouns. The novaTop rule for photography is always consent-based, never fear-based nor based on gossip or other types of rumors that may result. However, consent is not possible for non-human beings, as only humans are capable of having feelings and judgment. Also, novaTopFlex shall keep common courtesy in and avoid photography with inappropriate or otherwise sensitive or vulnerable subjects, whether based on development or other dimensions of life. The Three Identities shall always respect cultural and diverse differences, while also respecting the possibility that individuals and groups may be exhausted, busy, more privately oriented, or otherwise less comfortable with being featured.
Personally identifiable information (PII) does not apply to all types of information that require the first and/or second person. Standard rules for protecting personally identifiable information (PII) shall always apply, and when adding new contact information (info) to the contact card, novaTopFlex shall wait until a “sufficient” amount of time has passed, preferring to meet up in neutral locations based on an approximate location prior to identifying precise locations. Even with the closest connections to novaTopFlex personally, the novaTop identity believes that all tracking is stalking and that communication is also stalking regardless of intent unless and until proven, mutually, to be otherwise.
novaTopFlex believes that every individual and community that the Three Identities shall meet in 2026 shall be invited into the “novaTop Community,” “geoTop Community,” or “futoTop Community,” based on topics of interest. Typically, the technology community will be identified in areas nearer technical hub communities, while the geography and mathematics communities will likely be located in a significantly more dispersed area. The novaTop Identity, the geoTop Identity, and the futoTop Identity are three (3) distinct identities, with the following notable differences:

Topics not covered in the novaTop and geoTop communities, including, but not limited to mathematics, history, culture, society, calendars of events, font editing, activism, and advocacy
novaTopFlex shall only refer to topics accessible to the general public without legal restriction, so no regulated topics shall ever be discussed. Additional topics to avoid are fashion, beauty, and gaming, unless requested by the individuals within the community.
Under novaTopFlex social rules, “the Commons” shall refer to the combined aggregate of common interest groups from the novaTop, geoTop, and futoTop divisions, while numerous different divisions shall be kept track of elsewhere. The target zones–Boston, Philadelphia, New York, Chicago, Minneapolis-St. Paul–deserve unique divisions derived from the Commons, with more localized interest groups assigned on a county-by-county basis. The Commons within the more localized groups shall also be divided into three divisions, again derived from the novaTop, geoTop, and futoTop Identities based on common interests.
2025 was a very tough year, and a very difficult and disappointing year following the very unfortunate twists and turns inherently caused by capitalism in 2024, especially toward the end of the year. However, 2026 will be substantially more valuable than 2025 in numerous regards, including, but not limited to, the following potential:
In 2026, the United States of America will observe the national sestercentennial, or semiquintennial—an event that demarcates 250 years following the signing of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. The novaTopFlex channel on YouTube will observe the sestercentennial on YouTube and numerous other platforms, while also attempting to provide for the fullest of possibilities on the horizon.
As soon as the year changes to 2026, novaTopFlex will become more open to communication and expand social horizons both vertically and horizontally in anticipation of national and widespread attention.

While novaTopFlex has initially been associated with New England, New York, and the Great Lakes region, the Mid-Atlantic and Lower Midwest regions have become particularly interesting under very similar circumstances. Even further south, novaTopFlex is increasingly interested in pursuing appropriate opportunities into the Tidewater region and the Upland South in particular. Apart from southward, novaTopFlex is also pursuing expansion westward, particularly into Nebraska and Kansas (North Dakota and South Dakota have already been covered, particularly east of the Missouri River, though the locations in Nebraska and Kansas west of the Missouri are close in longitude, as far west as Grand Island, Nebraska).
Unfortunately, I actively struggle to manage my screen time, especially since i often find myself guilty on Instagram and other social media platforms, making me frequently believe that i am a “lesser” person because I “fail” to know people from outside my local community that I fear that “everybody else” gets to know at some point. I have identified consolation in missing chances to be invited to events at rival schools and districts in the past, as well as missing opportunities to network with other people even out of state. While I refer to myself as novaTopFlex online, I am officially Andrew Kay, as you may know by my presence on other social media sites, including sites on the Fediverse, as well as on YouTube, GitHub, GitLab, and elsewhere. If you ever were to receive emails from me, I would likely respond with “Sincerely, Andrew Kay (novaTopFlex),” with my name first and my pseudonym in parentheses immediately after. To celebrate my place in the online and tech-savvy communities alike, I would like to upgrade my birthday, August 11, to holiday status, which is already a fairly natural date to become an excellent holiday time because the date often represents what may be considered “the sweetest end to [the] summer” to some people, particularly youth, even though the autumnal equinox is over a month after.
novaTopFlex aspires to save up to eventually attend WordCamp Montclair annually if such savings are ever realistic based on financial context and sufficient standing funds.
