Overview
Georgetown is a central village in and the county seat of Brown County, along the Ohio River in southwestern Ohio. East of the Little Miami River but west of the Scioto River, the entire county is included within the historic Virginia Military District of Southwest Ohio, with the Ohio River representing the southern extent of both the district and the State of Ohio as a whole. Perhaps the most important feature of the village locally is the site of the boyhood home of former POTUS Ulysses S. Grant, as well as the Homestead Association and a central memorial.
