Preamble
novaTopFlex shall not focus on the issues of the past, but rather on the issues of the future. The community shall focus efforts on the novelty and specialty of the identity, including surprising connections and ideals found in unexpected places. Previous years had incorporated elements of the personality in numerous spaces, including technology, geography, mathematics, and related and intersecting topics.
Confusion
Even in the most awkward and confusing of cases and circumstances, novaTopFlex shall be considered a single and sovereign, regardless of the resulting rumors and confusion. The entire networked community shall be treated as equals and with due diligence and respect by the growing novaTop community, and confusion may be an inevitable evil of novaTop hangouts in select spaces. While gossip and stories of false signals may seem inevitable, words that are not true to a given dynamic, whether based on stereotype or not, shall be avoided wherever additional context matters and is available.
Software
The novaTopFlex, geoTopFlex, and futoTopFlex identities intersect with various software applications on the associated Linux system with Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS, including the following software applications, as most commonly utilized by the Three Identities:
- QGIS → Geospatial application software commonly paired with data from various applications and services such as OpenStreetMap
- Chromium → Recommended web browser base for Ubuntu and related derivatives of Debian and Linux overall
- Firefox → No longer recommended, but Firefox has been the default web browser for Ubuntu Linux systems from effectively the very beginning.
- Okular → Okular is a document viewer, especially supportive to PDF and even Markdown (MD) files.
Free and Open Source Statement
novaTopFlex shall also freely identify with Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) and general and specialized FOSS communities alike. No software that is not truly free and/or open source shall be deemed worthy under ethical consideration and/or scrutiny. novaTopFlex shall consider learning materials that align with core values of the Linux community, assuming that these materials do not conflict with the faithfulness of what is considered “free” as in “freedom” in addition to based on price. Numerous desired software applications utilized by the novaTop, geoTop, and futoTop Identities have also been officially declared under the “Digital Public Good” status, including QGIS in particular.
The Desired Future
The future success of the novaTop, geoTop, and futoTop identities alike depend particularly significantly on understanding of significant deviations and understandings of nontraditional scripts, especially where the novaTop appearance may be quite the surprise against all odds. Desired outcomes are highly inspired by Permacomputing principles as well as similar principles tailored specifically to internet access.
Recommended Events
With an overt and obvious passion in country music comes a longing for a festival dedicated specifically to country music. A separate and distantly related–or perhaps unrelated–form of art, apart from the musical scene, is also of interest: WordPress. For WordPress, novaTopFlex would recommend attendance of a WordCamp, but the ideal location of the WordCamp would certainly be Montclair, New Jersey.
