Introduction
The Town of Woodstock is located in Windsor County, Vermont, and is the shire town, elsewhere known as a county seat, of the county. While the surrounding area is generally more on the rural side, Woodstock serves the role of the center of development for the county, though as with many locations in Vermont, the population is generally on the lower side.
Town of Woodstock
The Town of Woodstock is located along United States Route 4 at the intersection with Vermont State Route 106. Amenities associated with the Town of Woodstock are surprisingly significant given the size of the town, including, but not limited to, the Bookstock festival in May of every year as well as the Harvest Weekend in October and the Wassail Weekend early in December. Also of interest within the Town is the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park, the only official member of the National Park System outside the Appalachian Trail within Vermont.
