Veterans’ Day in the United States of America celebrates the eleventh minute of the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month of 1918, at the very end of the Great War, also known as World War I and the “War to End All Wars,” except that World War II would occur even in spite of the belief that World War I was the ultimate war. Also, minor and regional wars continue to occur, even if no longer at a mass global scale, such as the multiple Nagorno-Karabakh Wars between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
